At least 200 former players, including 84-year-old V T Xavier, gathered at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Sunday to celebrate the annual reunion organised by Team Rebound.

Competitions in 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 events were organised on the occasion, at which the Kerala women's team, which won the 3x3 under-23 nationals, and the men's side that finished runners-up, were felicitated at a conclave held to mark the occasion.

Team Rebound, a registered charitable society, was founded in 2016 by former basketball players to promote and popularise the game.

KSEB Bros won the Muhammad Iqbal Memorial 3-on-3 Open Tournament defeating Thrillers Kochi, 21-11. Hindustan Chennai took the title in the mixed category, defeating Navio Kochi, 12-4. Iqbal was a former international and ex-president of Team Rebound, who died this year.
