Double Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra will face stiff competition from Anderson Peters and Julian Weber at the Diamond League (DL) Final in Zurich, Switzerland, on August 28.

The ace Javelin thrower lifted the DL trophy in 2022 before finishing runner-up in 2023 and 2024. Chopra competed in two of the four qualifying events in Doha and Paris.

The 27-year-old reigning world champion breached the 90-metre (90.23) mark at the Doha leg in May, but he was pushed to the second position by Weber. In Paris, Chopra threw 88.16m to finish first.

In addition to Andrian Mardare, Keshorn Walcott and Julius Yego, local thrower Simon Wieland completes the star-studded field in men's javelin.
