India crushed Kazakhstan 15-0 to storm into the Super 4 stage of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup at Rajgir, Bihar, on Monday.
Having beaten China and Japan in their previous pool games, the hosts have maintained a perfect record in the event.
The Indian goalscorers were Abhishek (5, 8, 20, 59 minutes), Sukhjeet Singh (15, 32, 38), Jugraj Singh (24, 31, 47), skipper Harmanpreet Singh (26), Amit Rohidas (29), Rajinder Singh (32), Sanjay Singh (54), Dilpreet Singh (55).
India had led Kazakhstan 7-0 at half-time, with Abhishek completing his hat-trick five minutes into the second quarter.
The winner of the Asia Cup will qualify for next year's World Cup to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands.
