Hosts Silver Hills bagged the boys title and Providence GHSS won the girls event of the 17th Silver Hills Trophy inter-school basketball tournament in Kozhikode on Monday.

Silver Hills defeated Velammal Matriculation HSS, Chennai 60-57, while Providence drubbed SVGV Matriculation HSS, Karamadai, 66-31 in the finals.

In the boys' final, Silver Hills trailed 26-27 at half-time. Mohammed Sinan top scored with 26 points for the winners. For Providence, Theertha led the scoring charts with 18 points, while Arthika K contributed 13.

Mohammed Sinan of Silver Hills and Arthika K of Providence were declared the Best Players, while Hariharan of Velammal and Swathika T of SVGV secured the Promising Player awards.
