Kollam: In a tragic incident, Muhammed Faizal, a class 10 student at Thandekkad Jama’at School in Perumbavoor, lost the big toe of his left foot soon after winning ‘A’ grade in the ‘vattappattu’ competition in the State School Kalolsavam in Kollam. Faizal had enacted the role of the groom in the

The girl reportedly left her home on Wednesday morning for tuition.
The 62nd school youth festival commenced in Kollam's ashram maidan on Thursday morning around 10 am. Actor Asha Sharath and her dance troupe performed at the event.
The CM pointed out that the youth festival should encourage the children to accept and promote diversity in the state.
4,000 talents from all 14 districts of the State will compete in 239 disciplines in the two categories of high school and higher secondary, at 24 venues.
The scholarship amount of Rs 1,000 was established in 2017 when the manual of the festival was revised.
A team of doctors and students of the college were also part of the campaign on a beach in Kollam.
The deceased was identified Althaf Mia (29), who had been missing since last Sunday. Bikas Sen (30) and Anwar Muhammed (24) were arrested after receiving a complaint that Mia was missing, said police.
The incident happened around 3 am on Friday morning.
