The High Court Division Bench has stayed a single bench order that disqualified all office-bearers of the SNDP Yogam, including General Secretary Vellappally Natesan, with the Chief Justice and a Judge agreeing that the original plea should have been filed with the National Company Law Tribunal instead of the High Court. This stay, issued on Monday, allows Vellappally Natesan and other members to continue in their positions, reversing the disqualification that was based on a writ petition seeking to prohibit the Yogam from exercising supervisory powers and to appoint an administrator.
A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Kerala High Court seeking to cancel the Padma Bhushan award given to Vellappally Natesan.
