The High Court Division Bench has stayed a single bench order that disqualified all office-bearers of the SNDP Yogam, including General Secretary Vellappally Natesan, with the Chief Justice and a Judge agreeing that the original plea should have been filed with the National Company Law Tribunal instead of the High Court. This stay, issued on Monday, allows Vellappally Natesan and other members to continue in their positions, reversing the disqualification that was based on a writ petition seeking to prohibit the Yogam from exercising supervisory powers and to appoint an administrator.
A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Kerala High Court seeking to cancel the Padma Bhushan award given to Vellappally Natesan.
Vellappally Natesan has been disqualified as SNDP Yogam general secretary by the Kerala High Court. This landmark ruling, issued by Justice T R Ravi, stems from a petition filed in 2024 by Prof M K Sanu and others.

SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan was equally critical of Satheesan.
He alleged that the League had approved at least 48 unaided colleges and 17 aided institutions in Malappuram alone during its time in office.
