Alappuzha: English singer and songwriter Dua Lipa, who has fans all around the world, quietly spent four days in Alappuzha recently, enjoying scenery of the place. Her arrival and departure went totally unnoticed.

Dua (23) had booked a room online in a false name and arrived with her partner Isaac Carew, a chef and model, for the stay near the backwaters.

The world and her fans knew about Dua's Alappuzha trip after she posted a picture of her enjoying the sunset on the banks of the Vembanad lake on Instagram. The photo has already earned over 12 lakh likes.

On all the four days that she spent at the resort, Dua underwent 'sirodhara,' an Ayurvedic procedure. She also went on a trip to the backwaters in a houseboat once.

Having learnt about Kerala cuisine, especially fish molee, Dua prepared the dish on her own. She felt that the dish, when made by Keralites, was too hot and spicy and took up the task herself.

Dua, who arrived in India for a music event, visited Jaipur, Jodhpur, Goa, and Ranthambore also, apart from Alappuzha, in two weeks. She posted pictures of her India trip on Instagram only after returning to London. In her post, Dua wrote that visiting India was a dream that she had cherished for long. She had been eagerly looking forward to experiencing the culture, food, and traditions of the country, the singer said.
