Muktha loves the misty Munnar and the beaches of Goa

Actress Muktha made an impressive debut through the Lal Jose directorial Achanurangatha Veedu, which was released in 2006. She made a foray into the Tollywood as well, starring in some blockbuster movies. The pretty actress, who quit acting post wedding, enjoys domestic bliss and is also an amazing entrepreneur.

Muktha runs a highly successful beauty salon in Kochi, and perfectly manages her business and family. The actress–businesswoman loves to take some time out of her busy schedule and go for short trips with her family to unwind and relax. Muktha vouches for the great rejuvenating power of these short getaways, especially to the places which are blessed abundantly by the nature.

Though she has made some unforgettable trips, Muktha admits that she isn't a great travel enthusiast. She loves to spend her free time, mostly at home, having a great time with her family. "I usually prefer to plan everything in advance when it comes to setting out for a trip. However, after the arrival of my daughter Kanmani, it seems there isn’t enough time to do everything. There would be lots of pending chores to do on a free day. My biggest hobby is to keep my house clean and stylish," revealed Muktha.

The actress, who is currently playing the lead role in a Tamil TV serial, spends 15 days in a month in Chennai for its filming. She loves to be at home with her darling daughter on the rest of the days. “Going for a trip would definitely help to relax. Rinku, I and our daughter take short trips, mostly to nearby places. Hill stations are in fact my favorite destinations. Though I have been to Munnar quite a few times, I never get bored of the beautiful nature and relaxing climate there," admits Muktha.

First Munnar trip

Muktha says that Munnar is the perfect place to spend some relaxing time, enjoying the occasional drizzles and misty mornings. It was during the filming of Achanurangatha Veedu that the actress visited Munnar for the first time. The movie was mostly shot in Kuttikanam, which is equally beautiful and cool. Munnar was actually Muktha's lucky location, where most of her films were shot. Some parts of her Tamil debut movie Thamarabharani too were filmed in the picturesque Munnar.

"We really love to explore the beautiful places in Wagamon, Kuttikanam and Munnar. Munnar, in fact, has become like our favorite family picnic spot. It is a store house of enchanting sights and one really must experience the charm of this place. We would spend at least 2 days in Munnar whenever we go there," said Muktha excitedly.

Honeymoon

Muktha and Rinku didn't have to think too much to choose Goa as their honeymoon destination. The actress had already heard about the beautiful beaches there and was longing to visit Goa. She loved the serene beaches and the mouthwatering sea food dishes, which Goa is incredibly famous for. Muktha said, "Actress Bhama who shot the movie Happy Husbands in Goa had told about the unique cuisine of the place. So we were eager to try it out. The delicious dishes truly conquer our taste buds and hearts as well. The extremely clean and beautiful beaches are in fact the most attractive features which lure millions of visitors. Goa is definitely one of the most amazing tourist destinations. The authentic continental and Mediterranean dishes that are served at the restaurants are delicious. Candolim, Calangute and Baga are the most famous beaches in Goa. Crowds would begin to throng these places from afternoon onwards. Goa never sleeps at night with its streets beautifully lit and full of bustle," explained the actress.

Scary trip

Though Muktha has travelled quite a lot as part of shootings, it is the trips with family that she enjoys the most. She shares an interesting incident that happened at one of their family trips to Ootty. "The beautiful hills covered in blankets of mist and the lush greenery makes Ootty extra special. It was during our return journey that the scary incident happened. When we reached near the woods, a few people were waiting on the wayside with a jeep. They offered us a forest safari for just Rs 500. As we were interested to enjoy the beauty of the forests and see some wild life as well, we got into their jeep. But we didn't spot even one animal after travelling into the dense forest. At this point, we got really scared as we had kids with us. We asked them to take us back. However they persuaded us to go a little further and there we spotted wild animals like elephant, bison and deer roaming in their natural habitat. Though we got scared a bit, it indeed was an unforgettable trip which offered unique sights of the woods," narrated Muktha.

The sandy tales

Muktha often visits the Manatheeram ayurvedic beach resort in Thiruvanathapuram to enjoy a relaxing spa which makes her feel refreshed and rejuvenated. She said that she stays at the resort for at least 2 days, along with her sister, enjoying the relaxing treatment packages that are offered there. "The incredibly peaceful atmosphere helps us to relax. It is an amazing place, close to the coast, where the beauty of nature can be enjoyed in its fullest glory. There are small huts where the visitors can stay. The yoga and meditation sessions help us to refresh our mind and body. It is just 21 km away from the Thiruvananthapuram city. My daughter too has begun to enjoy the sights and trips now. I am eagerly waiting for our next trip where I can enjoy some wonderful moments with my husband and daughter," Muktha signs off.
