Ann Sheetal, who attracted attention as the bold heroine in the Malayalam movie 'Ishq,' loves travelling. Hailing from an Army background, Ann has lived in various places around the country as part of her parents' transfers. "I may have acquired the thrill of journeys as a result of these frequent shifting of houses and have already visited almost half of India," reveals Ann.
'Ishq' as a love story that was not exactly romantic but the movie had sparked much discussion among the Malayali film viewers. The audience would never easily forget Vasudha, the unconventional character played by Ann in the movie. Similarly, Ann has an offbeat hobby – droning.
Ann's mother accompanies her on most of the trips now. The celebrity also chooses destinations where flying drones is possible. "My mother, too, loves travelling and we headed straight to Coonoor after the shooting of 'Ishq.' A friend joined us too. That made the journey much more enjoyable," says Ann.

A trip to Leh
Some time ago, Ann and her mother wanted to experience a totally different trip. They explored various options which led them to a group of Bullet riders heading to Leh.
In fact, Ann can ride the Bullet and every person who owns one has dreamt of touring Ladakh on the two-wheeler once in their lifetime. In the 18-member riders' group, Ann and her mother were the only women.
In 'Ishq,' the lead actress faces harassment at the hands of moral police. However, Ann has never undergone such bad experiences during the innumerable journeys she has undertaken. "Every other member of the team took good care of us on the Leh trip," said Ann and her mother.
"I have visited many countries and after every journey, there has been a feeling that more women should travel. Incidentally, the attitude of society towards women who travel solo has changed a lot. When you visit many places, the new ideas, experiences and insights you gain are invaluable," feels the actress.
Ann is particular that she will only accept film roles that fully satisfying her. Similarly, she has a very strong opinion regarding the destinations and the means of travelling she chooses.
