Bali is about…

Ever wondered that Bali was just about temples and green forests? But if you deviate from the regular paths opted by the tourists, you would get to enjoy some mesmerising places in Bali.

Nusa Ceningan, which is seen in the photos shared by Amala, is one such spot. This island is located to the southern end of Bali between the island of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida.

Standing on the Ceningan mountain, you would be able to experience one of the most beautiful sunsets ever.

Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan are separated by an estuarine channel that is full of mangrove forests and sea algae.

The popularity of Nusa Ceningan among the tourists have been increasing since 2009. Tourists looking for new experiences often pick this island. Several new resorts and hotels have come up in this region. You would come across beautifully laid-down roads and paths too.

From the lookout-point to the zipline, there are several interesting sights and activities to keep you indulged in this trip to the island.

The island follows the same culture as in Bali. However, crowds are less at the Nusa Ceningan. You can hop into a ferry to reach the island, which is surrounded by the baby blue-coloured sea. The blue expanse gives the beach its name, Blue Lagoon.

Mahana cliff jump is another feature that attracts tourists to this spot. Mahana Point is located the south-eastern end of the Nusa Ceningan. When the tide is in, people can climb up the raised platform and jump into the blue waters below. Two platforms, each with a height of 5 metres and 13 metres, have been set up. However, the adventurous jump is allowed only when there is sufficient water.

Another main attraction is the secret beach. You can sit down peacefully for some great good and talk nonchalantly to your loved ones here. However, this region tilts towards expensive and you should be careful.

The Ceningan island also offers several options such as surfing, snorkelling and diving.
