Revathy and daughter enjoy kayaking at Kerala Paddle

Veteran actress Revathy and daughter Mahi took part in the Kerala Muziris Paddle organized jointly by the Muziris Project and the Jelly Fish group which operates in water sports. Revathy, who is an excellent sailor and kayaker, covered around 40 kilometres in a kayak, between Kodungallur and Bolgatty. The actress took part in the event promising to spend more time with her daughter.

Muziris Paddle which is conducted every year attracts water sports enthusiasts from around the country. This year, 75 participants took part in the even from inside and outside Kerala. Both adults and kids were part of the water sporting event. Revathy said that she enjoyed kayaking with her daughter and expressed wish to participate in the coming years as well.

Revathy, who is a single mother, has often opened up about her daughter and also about the challenges that she faces raising a child alone.

The actress says that her daughter is not raised like other children of her age who are addicted to internet and mobile phones. Revathy says she has explained to her kid that mobile phones were for adults. She allows her daughter to watch television for some time. The little girl often joins her mother while planting a tree in the garden or making a delicious salad. Revathy is proud to say that her daughter enjoys such creative activities more than watching television.

"Try to embrace your kids as much as possible. Do not push them away saying that they have grown up. Meanwhile, it is important to find time for oneself as well. You should find safe places where you could entrust your kids whenever you want to take some time off, even if it is to enjoy a cup of coffee. You should have some time for yourself," says Revathy.
