Sri Lanka had ‘visa-on-arrival’ (VOA) facility for Indian travellers. The country rescinded this after the 2019 terror strike which killed 258 people. It was but reintroduced in August for tourists from 48 countries including India. For the time being, VOA is open till August 2020.

Hundreds of tourists reach Sri Lanka, known as the ‘teardrop of India’ every year. Sri Lanka has been laying a lot of stress on keeping its tourist spots super clean and has been posing a major competition to India in the tourism sector.

Sri Lanka has promoting its bio-diversity and native artisanship in a big way to attract tourists. The scintillating Emerald island is a major attraction. It was originally called Suvarnadip or Golden island and was discovered by Marco Polo in 1271.

The Pinnawala elephant orphanage is another major attraction. Pinnawala is on the way to Kandy, a major hill station, from the airport. There is a Buddha temple which worships the tooth of Gautama Buddha called the Dalada Maligawa temple.

The attractions apart, the video captures the family time spent by the actress who sizzled the big screen in the late 80s and early 90s. She went into an acting lull, before coming back again in early 2000. She got married in 1999 and has been actively pursuing dance, her primary passion ever since. Her husband is a renowned cardiovascular surgeon settled in the US.
