Mithun feels lucky to have missed Paris vacation

Mithun Ramesh is familiar to Malayalam TV and film viewers as an actor and presenter. He has become a favourite among family audiences thanks to his smooth presentation style. Also a talented radio jockey, Mithun loves to travel during free time.

In fact, Mithun plans a trip with his family even when he has a busy working schedule. However, with COVID-19 lockdown in place, Mithun is confined to his home now.

Incidentally, Mithun had made preparations for a special trip during this vacation; to Paris and Switzerland. “May 4 is my birthday and I wished to celebrate it with wife Lakshmi and our daughter in Paris,” he says.

Moreover, it was in Paris that Mithun and Lakshmi had enjoyed their honeymoon and felt that they should take their daughter too to the French capital this time.

Mithun and Lakshmi’s daughter had also wished to visit Switzerland after seeing the pictures of the couple at Disneyland in that country during an earlier trip.

But all such plans were thrown out of gear after COVID-19 struck. “I had spoken to a tour agency over the planned trip to Paris and Switzerland but as COVID-19 was reported from various places, I had deferred booking till everything calmed down. However, matters only became worse,” says Mithun.

“It was by divine intervention that we did not book the tickets,” he adds.

Another family trip planned to Kozhikode also did not take place owing to the pandemic.

Mithun is sad that the much-anticipated trips failed to materialize. “But it is our lives that matter the most in the present circumstances. Let us follow the instructions of the government and the Health Department and stay safe inside our homes. We can set out on journeys to anywhere after the COVID-19 pandemic is brought under control,” he says.

Based in Dubai at present, Mithun feels depressed witnessing all the once-busy streets and public places in the city lying deserted. “However, we shall overcome this pandemic too and everything would back to normal,” the celebrity quips, exuding confidence.
