Trisha enjoys a mesmerizing Caribbean holiday

South Indian diva Trisha who is currently enjoying a fabulous holiday in the beautiful locales of Mexico finds time to make her fans happy by posting pictures and videos from her trip. The video posted from the Cozumel Island, in the Caribbean Sea, off the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yacatan Peninsula has already garnered over a million likes on Instagram. In the short clip, Trisha, in a splendid blue outfit and a hat, looks like she is having the time of her life at the tropical destination. The actress is seen enjoying a thrilling boat ride in the sea, in the video.

The black corals

The Cozumel Island is part of the Quintana Roo state in Mexico. It is around 48 kilometres long and 16 kilometres wide. The total area of this popular tourist destination is 477.961 square kilometres. Cozumel Island is the third largest island in Mexico after Tiburon island and Isla Angel de la Garda. The population is mostly settled around the San Miguel town in the western coast. This beautiful island is known for its unique black coloured coral reefs. The serene and blue waters of the Caribbean Sea is home to hundreds of species of sea animals and coral reefs. These make Cozumel one of the most famous scuba diving destinations in the world. The island is mostly surrounded by mangrove forests. In 1996, the Mexico government opened the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park to attract visitors. Touching or hurting any sea creatures within the boundaries of the marine park has been strictly prohibited.

Besides bars, movie theatres and outdoor stages, there are more than 300 restaurants that serve delicious cuisines from different parts of the world, in Cozumel. Most hotels arrange adventure activities and tour packages for the tourists. Parasailing, kite surfing and a ride in a submarine are some of the adventure activities that you can try here. The island has two dolphinariums too. This quaint island is on the northern end of a larger island that is known for the only pearl farm in the Caribbean.
