Posadi Gumpe is a fabulous hill station in the Kasaragod district. It is 27 kilometres east of Kasaragod town, at Permuda – Dharmathadukka village in Puthige panchayat. Interestingly, this hilly area which is around 488 metres above sea level, is one of the highest regions in the district. Trekking lovers throng this beautiful hill station to enjoy the mesmerizing nature uphill. Recently, the number of visitors to Posadi Gumpe has gone up after vloggers introduced this place to the world.

Posadi Gumpe is where three similar-looking hills meet. There is a historically significant cave in the valley. At the summit, you will be amazed at the splendid and calming beauty of the lush green lawns. Meanwhile, you could catch a view of the Arabian Sea and the cities of Mangalore and Kundremukh from here.

As this hill station isn’t too popular, the facilities and infrastructure are meagre. Those who go trekking should carry water and food with them. Posadi Gumpe has great tourism prospects if the authorities try to arrange at least basic facilities for the visitors.

From highway 17, you could reach Posadi Gumpe via Bandiyod or Uppala. Paivalike is the nearest village. Manjeshwaram, which is 23 kilometres away is the nearest railway station. Meanwhile, the Mangalore international airport is 54 kilometres away.
