The Furaveri resort has 168 luxury private villas that face the serene ocean. There are villas like the beach villa, water villa, beach pool villa, ocean villa and the sunset villa here. Besides, the resort arranges lots of motorised and non motorised water sports for the guests.

Land of tuna

There was a time when the people of Maldives earned their income only from tuna fishing. However, tourism became their main source of income when tourists recognised the incredible beauty of the land. Tuna is still the most popular fish in the markets. The special tuna curry is a unique delicacy of Maldives. Interestingly, there is a market that is specially dedicated to sell only tuna.

The airport

The artificial island of Hulhumale was built by pumping sand from the sea floor. The airport is situated here. The scintillating view of the island from the airplane is quite breath taking.
