‘Minnal Murali’ may not have the superpower to fly, but actor Tovino Thomas surely has been ‘spreading’ his wings in the picturesque locales of Georgia. Tovino who is currently enjoying a splendid holiday in the East European country has been treating his fans to some amazing pictures and videos on his social media handle. In the latest video, the actor is seen paragliding above the beautiful snow-capped mountain ranges in Georgia. Tovino is currently in the countryside of Gudauri which is famous for winter adventure activities like paragliding. Sharing the video the actor wrote, “People have seen him fly”.
Gudauri is a popular ski resort, in the Stepantsminda district, situated in the valley of the Greater Caucasus in Georgia. It is 2,200 metres above sea level, between the Jvari Pass and the Georgian military highway. This popular tourist destination is around 120 kilometres to the northern side of Tbilisi, the Georgian capital. The tourism season here is from December to April. During the season, adventure activities like heliskiing are allowed, without any restrictions, at the mountains for the tourists. Skiers can go up to 1,500 – 4200 metres high during this season.
Gudauri resort area and Mount Kazbek Maasif region are popular for ski tourism. Besides, millions flock to Gudauri to enjoy paragliding and speed riding. There are ski runs that are more than 76 kilometres long and 18 lifts in Gudauri. Meanwhile, March – April is the best time for multi–day backcountry camping. Besides the adventure activities, Georgia offers many more interesting experiences. The monasteries at Lomisi, Sameba and Dariali shouldn’t be missed. The Ananuri Fortress, Kahada Gorge Towers, Gudauri Post, the Arch of Friendship of People, Sioni Tower Stone, Snow Fortress and Darial Gates are some of the prominent tourist attractions in Georgia. Moreover, the waterfalls at Gveleti, Arsha and Aragvi attract nature lovers.
