Singer Sivaangi Krishnakumar ‘jumps’ off a plane to celebrate her 25th birthday

Singer Sivaangi Krishnakumar has captured the hearts of the Malayali audience with her quirky replies in interviews and charming personality. The artist, who is loved for her childish voice and bubbly demeanour, recently turned 25. She rang in her 25th birthday in an adventurous style, rather than cutting a cake or throwing a fabulous party for her friends. She decided to experience the thrill of skydiving. “I decided to jump out of a plane on my birthday. Of course, it was my 25^th and I had to do something adventurous. It was a lifetime amazing experience,” Sivaangi wrote on her Instagram handle.

So, even first-time skydivers can enjoy a thrilling experience without fear or anxiety. There will be a 30-minute-long training class before taking the jumper up into the sky. The divers are taken to 13,000 feet in a small passenger plane. When you jump out of this plane, you may experience free fall on a speed of 200 kilometres for 60 seconds. The instructor will open the parachute at 6000 feet. After the parachute is deployed, you could float in the air for 5 – 7 minutes before landing safely on the ground.

Two main drop zones
Palm drop zone: The aerial view of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, and Atlantis Hotel will blow your mind away. As this is a premium experience, this zone is quite pricey.

Desert campus drop zone: This drop zone, outside Dubai, in the Al Ain Road, offer a scintillating aerial view of the desert. The distant view of the vibrant city too, could be enjoyed. This package is slightly less expensive than the Palm drop zone.

Tandem skydiving
Most people who are trying skydiving for the first time choose tandem skydiving. In this type of diving, the customer would be attached to the instructor using a harness. The instructor would control the jump, free fall, and deployment of the parachute.

Who can skydive?
Those who have severe health problems, heart diseases, epilepsy or high blood pressure cannot skydive. Besides, a doctor’s certificate is mandatory if you have a health condition. Moreover, the jumper shouldn’t have used drugs or any kind of intoxication 24 hours before skydiving.

As per the regulations, the minimum age for skydiving is 18 years. Women should weigh less than 90 kilos with a BMI of less than 27.5, while men should not exceed 100 kilos with a BMI of less than 30.
