After Anant Ambani's star-studded wedding last year, India is all set to witness yet another billionaire-star-studded nuptial. The destination wedding of US-based Netra Mantena, the daughter of billionaire Rama Raju Mantena, and her fiancé, Vamsi Gadiraju, founder of the tech platform Superorder, will be held tomorrow at the Jag Mandir Palace on Lake Pichola. Along with Bollywood actors like Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Jhanvi Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, and Jacqueline Fernandez, the event also features Jennifer Lopez, Wiz Khalifa, and US President Donald Trump's son, Trump Jr. Dutch DJ Tiesto and filmmaker Karan Johar are part of the celeb party at the event. The wedding festivities are expected to continue until about November 25.

Udaipur has been a celebrity wedding destination for the past few years, thanks to the 'City of Lakes' regal appeal. Raveena Tandon, Mukesh Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani and husband Anand Piramal, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic, PV Sindhu and Venkata Datta Sai... the list goes on. Various high-end luxury hotels along the renowned Lake Pichola, like 'The Leela Palace', in which the Mantena wedding festivities are to be held, The Taj Lake Palace, Raffles Udaipur, Shiv Niwas Palace, and Taj Fatech Prakash Palace have been beckoning big names from across the world and the country to arrive at Udaipur and get married in a truly grand setting.

That said, the weddings held here cater best to those looking for opulent, big-budget, big-fat Indian weddings. The city also offers mid-range resorts and heritage-style, affordable havelis, palaces, banquet halls, and other wedding venues to suit couples who want a Udaipur-style wedding.

What's special about the venue?
The Jag Mandir Palace, which is around 500 years old, is located on an island on Lake Pichola. The Mughal King Shah Jahan famously took refuge here in the 1600s. The palace is known best for its eight life-sized marble elephant statues at its entrance, facing the lake. The palace's domes, its garden courtyard, carvings that showcase Rajput elegance, and its serene ambience are also favourites among history and architecture enthusiasts and visitors. It can only be reached by boat from a jetty next to the Udaipur Lake Palace. Jag Mandir was also a location for the renowned James Bond film Octopussy, starring Roger Moore and Maud Adams.
