Anamudi, rising 2695 mts above sea level, is the highest peak in the Western Ghats and in entire South India. It is also the highest point in India outside the HimalayasKarakoram mountain range. It forms an ideal setting for trekking. Located in the southern region of Eravikulam National Park at the junction of Cardamom Hills, Anamalai Hills and Palani Hills, Anamudi is 13 kms away from Munnar.
