Willmount is the latest cottage resort you need to explore in Munnar

Munnar, the evergreen beauty, sleeps under a blanket of mist during the monsoons. Its hill ranges and the green carpet of tea plantations attract tourists from all over the world.

A recently opened Willmount Resort is located by a green valley at Kallar, between Munnar and Adimali. This resort, a dream project of three young entrepreneurs, was opened just three months ago.

Essentially, the Willmount Resort is a three and half acres of valley with eight cottages close to the nature.

Each cottage has all the basic amenities for a family with two bedrooms, bathroom and a balcony.

The cottages have a conical design and are erected on pillars of GI pipes, reminding one of stilts. The natural lay of the ground has been maintained as it is. The flooring is with V-board panels over which tiles have been laid. The conical roof doubles as the walls. This is a curious feature of the design. The green roofing sheets merge with the greenery around. The wall part of the roof is cladded with bamboo-ply.

The balcony has glass windows and this allows the nature to flow into the room. Taking advantage of the conical shape of the roof, the second bedroom is on a mezzanine floor accessible through a ladder. The glass window of this room offers an even more enchanting view of the nature around.

The food is prepared fresh at the resort for the guests. Travellers are already seeking out and flowing to this resort.
