The panoramic view of Kochi from the 30th floor of the building touted as South India’s largest and tallest IT office tower, on the banks of the Kadambra River, is truly breathtaking. The majestic city, a major IT hub in the state, on the banks of the river that flows from east to west, looks scintillating. Yes, you could enjoy the unbeatable charm of Kochi from one of Lulu Group’s IT Twin Towers.
The glimpse of the misty hills in the east and the beautiful waves of the Kochi Lake and the mighty Arabian Sea could be captured in a single frame. Meanwhile, the gigantic cranes of the container terminal, the Cochin Shipyard and the smoke rising from the Eloor industrial areas highlight Kochi’s industrial might. The chimneys of the refinery that spit balls of fire cannot be missed. The IT Park sprawled on the southern banks of the Kadambra River, and the dense mangrove forests offer a mesmerising sight.
The glass and steel scaffolds of the skyscrapers at the Smart City and the Inforpark, located on the north and south sides of the Lulu twin towers, gleam under the blazing sun. The unending rows of high rises and the busy roads are the iconic symbols of the fast-paced city. Although Kochi has earned a leading position in the cyber technology industry, it is also known for its numerous temples, churches, and mosques. The greenery of the sports turf and a few households, remnants from the olden times, could also be spotted from atop the tower.
The enchanting blue waters of the Arabian Sea could be seen from here if the skies are clear. The Lulu twin towers could surely add an impetus to Kochi’s tourism prospects if visitors are allowed here. It could even be developed similarly to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai or the Petronas Towers in Malaysia.
However, the traffic blocks at Kakkanad could be a disadvantage as there is only a single entry and exit point to the smart city. People have been demanding the addition of more entry and exit points to relieve traffic congestion. The great tourism potential of Kochi, a tier 2 city in India, hasn’t been fully explored. Before that, the traffic facilities in one of the country's most beautiful IT cities need improvement.
