Thrissur: A track settlement has been reported on the Vallathol Nagar–Wadakkanchery double line section, prompting railways to begin urgent restoration work. To ensure safety, trains are currently operating in both directions on the up line towards Shoranur.

As a result, several trains towards Thrissur are running late, including:
12201 Lokmanyatilak – Kochuveli Express (at Vallathol Nagar)
16325 Nilambur Road – Kottayam Express (at Shoranur)
20633 Mangaluru – Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express (at Shoranur)
16792 Palakkad – Punalur Palaruvi Express (at Mannannur)

In addition, two trains have been rescheduled:
56623 Thrissur–Shoranur: now departing at 19:30 hrs instead of 17:35 hrs
56605 Shoranur–Thrissur: now departing at 01:10 hrs (next day) instead of 22:10 hrs

Railway authorities have requested passengers to bear with the inconvenience, assuring that efforts are ongoing to restore normal services as soon as possible.
