Bang is the highest luxury rooftop bar in Bengaluru city, offering an array of finger food, drinks and cigars for the discerning palate. Open only in the evenings and with a strict no open-toe policy, it offers panoramic views from the heart of the Central Business District. Catch a table by the fire pit for an intimate experience or head to the long bar for a more lively one. The smoked salmon pizzette was a decadent dish featuring smoked salmon, quail’s egg and caviar. Beautifully pink, the soft fish made for a wonderful contrast with the crisp baked bread. The innovative range of tea-inspired cocktails is a must-try, with Oriental and fruit fl avours resulting in great flavour combinations. Chocolate variation stood out among the desserts, layers of chocolate sponge, tempered chocolate and mousse with berry compote on the site and a Bailey’s mousse to accompany it. Replete with texture and flavour, this one can cap off any evening with aplomb. The nachos tasted distinctly like packaged corn chips, a huge letdown considering the place and price. The Hoisin glazed lamb chops were too tough and the sauce too sweet. Wild Blossom, a gin cocktail with kiwi and plum notes, was filled with soggy pieces of the former, making for a difficult and unappetising drink. **How to get there:** The Ritz-Carlton, 99, Residency Road; Call 080 61344767; Nearest metro station M G Road is five minutes by auto. **Cost:** Rs. 4,000 _(In arrangements with The MAN)_
