Gujarat - Makar Sankranti

Kite flying and Makar Sankranti go hand in hand in Gujarat – and a lot of other places in North India.  They come in all sizes and shapes - and they paint a pretty picture against the clear skies. Be there to feel the adrenaline rush. Take in the festive air and munch on the amazing street food. 

Festa De Diu

A three-month long beach festival, the Festa De Diu was flagged off the first week of December. You can camp out in luxurious tents, go bungee jumping or ride a hot air balloon. Various artists fly down to Diu for the music and art sessions making the three months just fly by.

Chilka Mohotsav, Odisha

Plan your trip in such a way as to reach Odisha in time for the Chilka Mohotsav that begins on the 11th and goes on till the 13th. Watch the boat races on the Chilka Lake, go to the artisans fair. It is an experience you will never forget.

International Kite Festival and Jaipur Literary Festival, Jaipur

Jaipur is the place to be in January. The sun will not be harsh and the Pink City will play host to the Kite Festival and the Literary Festival later in the month. Do you need more reasons to visit this place?
