Kochi: The Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Councils (DTPC) has restated the Neelakurinji special tour package. The DTPC said it had restated all packages stalled after in the wake of the August floods.

The one-day Kurinji tour package to Kolukkumalai will start from October 15. The tour consists of two legs - an AC bus journey to Suryanelli and from there, an 8-km off-road jeep safari to Kolukkumalai.

The tour that starts at 5 am from Kochi would cost Rs 2,300 per head. The ticket fare includes trip on the AC bus, off-roading on a jeep, trek, food (breakfast and lunch), services of guides and entry tickets.

Those booking in group (minimum 12), would have the option to choose the pick-up point.
