Kochi: The IRCTC has announced a Sri Lanka Ramayana tour package with departure from Kochi on December 11 and arrival back in the city on December 17.

The tour will cover various temples in Sri Lanka that are related to the Ramayana, including Manavari, Munneeswaram, Ramboda Bhakta Hanuman, Gayathri Peedom, Sita Devi, Divurumpola and Kelaniya.

In addition, the pilgrims can also visit Dambulla cave temple, Thirukkaneswaram, Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple and Kandy Temple. The travellers will be taken to several tourist spots too.

The fare is Rs 45,904 per person and includes economy class flight ticket, stay in three-star hotels, conveyance in AC vehicle, food, entry tickets, services of tour guide, visa fees and travel insurance.

Meanwhile, the Bharat Darshan tourist train will conduct service during Christmas touching Velankanni, Puducherry, Visakhapatnam, Puri and Kolkata. The departure is on December 21.

The package includes ticket fare, food, stay in dormitory, conveyance and tour escort. LTC facility is available. The tariff is Rs 9,450 per head.

Another domestic air package covers Bengaluru, Mysuru and Coorg. It starts on December 22.
