Tourist season begins at Kovalam

Kovalam is still the most visited place by the foreign tourists in Kerala. It is 16 km away from the capital city, Thiruvananthapuram. The beach umbrellas, sunbath, and swimming in the sea – its an entire package of fun for any tourist who visits this wonderful shore. Be it a foreigner or a native, the sight of the horizon in the mornings and evenings is extremely satisfying. The shore is lined with rock boulders and hence the waves are smoother. This makes swimming here a safe activity and the full time service of the life guards makes it even safer.

This lovely beach lies by the side of Arabian Sea. Spending a night here is worth the time and money. The massage parlours and shopping centres has made this place famous. The season of tourism has already flagged off with a lot of expectations. The first bunch of visitors included the foreign students studying at various universities in India. Kovalam usually comes to its full swing from the beginning of November, however this time the rush has begun already.

The student visitors are from countries like Brazil, America and Germany, studying in different parts of India. It's their first time in Kovalam for many but they are already planning another trip here!x
