Kochi: Khalid Al Ameri, a celebrity vlogger from the UAE, and his wife Salama arrived in Kerala on Friday. He shared a photo of the couple in front of an auto-rickshaw in Kochi. Khalid has added the comment, "We have just landed in Kerala! Salama and I are so excited to explore this beautiful Indian state and its deep history with the UAE."

The post has attracted numerous likes, a lot of them from Khalid's Malayali fans. Some have suggested ideal locations for the couple to visit, while welcoming them to 'God's own Country.' A fan has recommended a houseboat trip in Alappuzha to which Khalid replied that a houseboat cruise was indeed part of the couple's itinerary.

Still others commented that they were eagerly looking forward to watching Khalid's video on Kerala. One Keralite wanted Khalid to organize a get-together of his followers in the state. The vlogger has replied to most posts with the comment that he wanted to enjoy the beauty of Kerala and 'God bless you.'

Khalid regularly travels to various parts of the world and shoots videos which he shares on social media. He also introduces sights and traditions of the UAE to fans belonging to other countries. Moreover, he uploads comedy skits in which Salama also takes part. Khalid posts his videos on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Earlier, when floods ravaged Kerala, Khalid had made a video seeking help for the state. His video on the Indian community in the UAE, too, had earned major appreciation.

Khalid had started out his internet journey by creating more than 500 short videos daily but moved on to longer, detailed videos about travel and cultures. His aim is to educate and entertain his audiences through his videos.
