New Delhi: The Indian Railways will gradually resume passenger train services from May 12. The all air-conditioned services will begin on 15 Rajdhani routes. Certain instructions have been put in place for smooth execution of this move. Here is all you need to keep in mind if you plan on availing the services:

• Arrive at the station at least an hour before departure

• The fare would be equivalent to that of the super-fast trains

• Booking for reservation in these trains will be available only on the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in)

• Bookings will start at 4 pm on May 11

• No 'current booking' will be allowed

• Only passengers with valid confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter stations

• Ticket booking services at stations will remain closed and no counter tickets (including platform tickets) will be issued

• All passengers will go through screening at the departure

• Only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the trains

• Use of masks is mandatory

• You will have to install the Aarogya Setu mobile app

• All trains will have very few stoppages during the journey.

General instructions:

• Carry sanitizers

• Wear disposable gloves during the journey

• Sneeze in your elbows only

• Wash hands for 20 seconds before and after eating

• Maintain social distancing protocols
