Air India Express has informed that those travelling to Sharjah must download and activate the UAE Fast Track and ICA UAE smart applications.
Though it was informed that travellers reaching Dubai only need a permit from GDRAFA (General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs) many are asked for the ICA (Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship) permit too.
A few travellers from Kochi who reached the country without an ICA permit had to return to India.
