Riyad: Authorities have said that those who visit home on re-entry visa and fail to return before the visa expiry will be barred from entering Saudi Arabia for three years.

The ban is on entering Saudi on a new visa under a different sponsor. Entry will be allowed on a new visa of the current sponsor. The re-entry visa can be renewed online.

In the wake of the Covid pandemic, the validity of all visas was extended till November 30. The ban is for those who do not make use of these opportunities. The authorities also said that the re-entry visa cannot be converted to an exit visa.

Several people, including Keralites, have been stranded in their countries due to the Covid travel ban. If they do not renew the re-entry visa on time, the return trip would be in uncertainty.
