Chennai: Few train services between Kerala and Tamil Nadu are likely to be disrupted on Monday, the Southern Railways has informed.

The trains are -

1. 06101 Chennai Egmore - Kollam special leaving Chennai on October 17. This service will experience partial cancellation between Sengottai and Kollam junction.

2. 06102 Kollam junction - Chennai Egmore special commencing journey on October 18. This service will experience partial cancellation between Kollam and Sengottai stations.

3. 06791 Tirunelveli junction to Palakkad daily special commencing journey on October 17. This service will experience partial cancellation between Tirunelveli and Punalur.

4. 06792 Palakkad - Tirunelveli daily special commencing journey on October 17. This service will experience partial cancellation between Punalur and Tirunelveli.

It is unclear if the torrential downpour the two states have witnessed on Sunday has any bearing on these cancellations.

Kerala is reeling under a slew of landslides and flash floods. With more heavy rain forecast in the coming days, the brief let-up in the heavy bout of rain as witnessed on Sunday, it seems, is only a temporary respite.

The State reported 23 deaths on Sunday in rain-related incidents these past two days. Most deaths were reported from Kottayam.

Tamil Nadu has also seen its fair share of the rain. Sunday's reports indicated that the region around Thirparappu waterfalls is inundated.
