KSRTC plans budget tourism trip to Neyyar Dam, Lulu Mall and Kovalam on Jan 16

With the budget tourism schedules of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) attracting huge response, the public carrier has announced another trip. Starting from the Kottarakkara unit, the service will take passengers to Kappukadu, Neyyar Dam, Lulu Mall and Kovalam.

The tour will begin at 5.30 am on January 16 and conclude by 8.30pm. From Kottarakkara, the first destination is Kappukadu elephant rehabilitation centre, where the bus would arrive by 7.30am. Boating and safari are arranged at Kappukadu. Visits to Neyyar Dam, Deer Park and Crocodile Park follow. The next stops are Lulu Mall in Thiruvananthapuram and Kovalam beach, before returning to Kottarakkara.

The fare per person for the tour, in which 50 people can join, is Rs 600. Expenses for food and entry fees to tourist centres are extra.

Organised by the Budget Tourism Cell of the KSRTC, this and other similar trips are intended to provide travellers joyful journeys at an affordable rate. The first tour from Kottarakkara depot took place on January 8. As there were more bookings than the 50 available seats, the next trip was announced on January 16. After the bookings are completed for this coming tour, yet another trip is planned on January 30.
