More places to visit in Wayanad

The sunflower was apparently planted in over four acres of land and they have become an eye-popping sight for the host of visitors who are arriving in the district with the start of the vacation season. Several people who travel on the National Highway stop to see and take photographs of the flower garden before returning.

In the past few years, farmers have planted sunflowers in different places in Wayanad district. The plants have flowered well at all places and many visitors are also arriving to see the sights. Even though it had been established for long that the weather in the district is conducive to the cultivation of flower plants, farming on a commercial basis has not been launched anywhere.
