IRCTC offers pocket-friendly tour packages to Kashmir; check out the air fares

Kashmir is often touted as a paradise on earth for its amazing natural beauty. IRCTC has announced fabulous packages for tourists from Kerala to enjoy the mystical locales of Kashmir.

Five days, six nights
The journey that includes five days and six nights begins at Thiruvananthapuram on 17 June and 1 July. Interestingly, the package begins at Rs 47350 per head.

The package includes economy air tickets of Indigo Airlines, accommodation at hotels, driver allowance, toll rates and parking fees.

However, the visitors have to pay for the pony rides, gondola tickets and sleighing. Besides, the entry charges to Aru Chandanwari in Pahalgam, Betaab valley, Zero Point trip at Sonmarg during summer and tour guide charges too aren’t included.

Daily plans
On the first day, the journey begins from the airport at Thiruvananthapuram and reaches Srinagar on the same day. After resting at the hotel for some time, the visitors would be taken to the Dal Lake for shikara ride. On the second day, you could see the beautiful sights at Sonmarg which is 2800 metres above the sea level. Dinner would be served at the hotel.

The visitors would be taken to Gulmarg and Khilanmarg on the third day. Gulmarg which is a popular skiing destination is also known for the gondola, which is one of the highest cable cars in the world. The visitors can return to the hotel at Srinagar at night where dinner would be provided.

On the fourth day, after breakfast, the visitors can visit Pahalgam. The saffron fields, Avantipur remains, Betaab Valley, Chandanawari and Aru Valley are some of the attractions at Pahalgam which is 2440 metres above sea level.

The visitors can return to Srinagar after breakfast on the fifth day. At Srinagar, they would be taken to the Sankaracharya temple followed by the Hazratbal shrine on the banks of the Dal Lake. The visitors can then enjoy shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Moreover, they can spend the night and enjoy dinner in a houseboat on the lake.

The breakfast on the next day would be provided on the house boat. The tourists can return on the same day to Thiruvananthapuram from the Srinagar airport.

Charges for adults and children
A group of twenty nine people would be taken for the trip at a time. The charges for adults are Rs 54,450 for single occupancy, Rs 48,700 for double occupancy and Rs 47,350 for triple occupancy. Meanwhile, the bookings for children from 2 – 4 years could only be done at the IRCTC counters. For that, you could contact 0484 2382991. There would be infant charges for children under two years. This could be directly paid at the airline counter while checking in.
