Thiruvananthapuram: The online ticket booking facility of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has migrated to a new platform from today onwards.

This is the new website. The mobile application Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS will be available in the Play Store as well as the App Store.

The facility is being shifted to a new platform as the contract between KSRTC and AbhiBus, which used to handle the online reservation facility of KSRTC till now, is slated to end by September 30.

To monitor the operational efficiency of the new service provider, the bookings for KSRTC Swift buses were conducted through the new platform on an experimental basis from May to August 31.

As the move turned out to be a success, a decision with regard to integrating all buses into the system was made.

The new platform will also permit the booking of tickets from the subsequent stop-overs of a bus, that has already commenced its service. The live ticketing system has been opened on a trial basis. The messages regarding the status of bookings will be delivered as text messages as well as to the Whatsapp accounts.

The delay in processing the refund requests too will be avoided in the new system, which also incorporates a provision to check the refund status.
