After huge success of Kochi service, Vietjet to connect more Indian cities to Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City: Budget airline Vietjet has announced its plans to operate more services to Indian cities from Vietnam following the positive response to its service between Kochi and Ho Chi Minh City, the most populous city in Vietnam. 

At present, Vietjet runs services to Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad in India, apart from Kochi. From November 1, a new schedule has been announced for Tiruchirappalli.

Over three lakh passengers flew from Indian airports to Vietnam during the first six months of this year, registering a five-fold increase compared to last year.

Vietjet operates flights to Kochi from Ho Chi Minh City four days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The service – V J 1811 - departs from Ho Chi Minh City at 6.55 pm local time and arrives in Kochi at 10.50 pm. During the return trip, the service – V J 1812 – leaves Kochi at 11.50 pm on these days and arrives in Ho Chi Minh City at 6.25 am the next day.

The Airbus A 320 aircraft operating in the sector has economy class as well as SkyBoss premium economy seats.

Travellers booking seats on the service on specific days, such as Wednesday and Friday, could receive tickets for as low as Rs 5,555. Weekly offers are also available for travellers from India till December 31. 

Moreover, telecom operator Airtel provides roaming facilities at a low tariff in Vietnam.
