Etihad expands operations in India, starts additional flights to Thiruvananthapuram

Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, has expanded its network in India with additional services to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and a new route to Jaipur in Rajasthan. In its new summer schedule, the airways increased the number of flights to Thiruvananthapuram from seven (daily service) to 10 per week and announced a new flight service to Jaipur. With this move, around 1,000 more people can fly to Thiruvananthapuram weekly and about 1,200 passengers can access Jaipur through Etihad flights. Presently, the airline has three flights daily between Abu Dhabi and Kochi.

The new flight service to Jaipur will start on June 16 and initially, there will be four services in a week. With the introduction of the Jaipur service, Etihad’s number of sectors in operation has increased to 11. Passengers travelling from India to different countries can benefit from the connection flights via Abu Dhabi. The airline also announced weekly thrice flights to Turkey from June 15. As part of its efforts to expand its footprint, Etihad has increased flight services to other countries too.
