Kottayam: The passengers who reach the railway station can now move to different parts of the city by hiring bikes and cars. The railway has flagged off the project by joining hands with private companies. Your preferred car or bike could be booked in advance online. The bike/car rental kiosk is close to the first entrance gate of the railway station. Meanwhile, the vehicles are provided by EVM Wheels, a private company. This rental facility is available in fifteen main railway stations that come under the Thiruvananthapuram division.
How to book cars and bikes?
You could book the vehicles via the website
A profile should be created on the website by providing your driving license and Aadhar details. These details would be verified before registering the profile; once it is done, you could book vehicles. It is possible to book vehicles in advance. Packages that allow you to hire vehicles from noon too are available. The amount has to be paid online in advance.
It is not possible to hire the vehicle directly at the kiosk. Online booking has to be done even if you are at the kiosk. The details of the vehicles that are available and the tariff are given on the website.
