PM flags off Thiruvananthapuram - Mangaluru Vande Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the new Mangaluru Central - Thiruvananthapuram Central Vande Bharat (02631) on Tuesday morning. The PM inaugurated the newly extended train via video conferencing. Tuesday's special inaugural service started at 9.15 am from Mangaluru and it will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 6.30 pm. On other days, the service will start at 6.10 am from Mangaluru and will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 3.10 pm. The return service from Thiruvananthapuram is at 4.05 pm and will reach Mangaluru at 12.40 am. Its regular service, from both ends, will start on Wednesday. 

The train will operate on all days till July 4 to accommodate those who have already booked tickets. After that, it will operate on all days except Wednesdays. A new Kollam - Tirupati Express, a weekly special service, will also be flagged off on Tuesday. The train(07422) will have 17 stops and the regular service will begin on Friday.
