Fact check: Circular on Dubai visa holders deportation for entry via other Emirates

A circular has been making the rounds on WhattsApp confusing people travelling to the United Arab Emirates. It said that Dubai visa holders wouldn’t be allowed to enter the country through the airports in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. It also claims that such passengers would be deported. However, the authorities have clarified that the circular is fake. Meanwhile, travel agents and those are working in the tourism industry say that they have been receiving an overwhelming number of queries from confused travellers, seeking clarity in the matter.

They say that passengers with a visa issued by Dubai can enter the UAE through any airport.
