Dubai: 'Mmadey Thrissur Pooram,' a grand festivity organised in the model of iconic Thrissur pooram, is just five days away! The fifth edition of the pooram will be held on December 2 at the Etisalat Academy Ground in Dubai. Meanwhile, pooram lovers in Dubai are trying to grab tickets to attend the pooram on the first few days as the prices will likely go up for the last few days. Tickets could be booked via this website. A single-entry ticket costs 75 dirhams, while group tickets are available for 275 dirhams for four persons and 649 dirhams for ten persons. Tickets are available at this rate only if they are booked in advance.

From the third stage onwards, the price of the single-entry ticket may go up to 99 dirhams. The rate of family and group tickets may also increase. Besides the live musical night led by Vidhu Pratap, Aparna Balamurali, and Sreerag Bharathan, the Agni band will perform at the event. A DJ event by JM Five, too, has been arranged. The programs have been scheduled from 8 am to 11 pm every day. Five robotic models of elephants will thrill the audience. Machad Mamangam (A temple festival in Kerala's Thrissur) will also be held during this event. Ilanjitharamelam, panchari melam, panchavadyam, nadaswaram, shingarimelam and kudamattam will add pomp to the Thrissur pooram. ‘Mmadey Thrissur Pooram’ is organised by Equity Plus Advertising in association with Malayala Manorama. Participants also get a fabulous opportunity to win exciting prizes.
The Thrissur Pooram festival in Thrissur revolves around a cordial rivalry between the Paramekkavu Bhagavathi Temple and the Thiruvambadi Sri Krishna Temple, situated near the Vadakkumnathan Temple of Thrissur.
