As India celebrates its 76th Republic Day this year, a 27-year-old tribal woman from Jamshedpur will also participate in the event as a special guest invited by the country's president Droupadi Murmu. Ritika Tirkey, a loco pilot with the South Eastern Railway, is not just another railway employee but is the first female loco pilot of the Vande Bharat train. As per reports, she will attend the At-home reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the evening of January 26. Ritika is the assisant loco pilot of the Tatanagar - Patna Vande Bharat express.

Meanwhile, the much-awaited Delhi - Srinagar Vande Bharat sleeper train will be launched on the same day. The train passes through the Udhampur - Srinagar - Baramulla Rail Link and will be inaugurated by PM Modi. The train leaves Delhi at 7 pm and reaches Srinagar at 8 am the next day. The tickets will cost Rs 2,000 for AC 3-tier, Rs 2,500 for AC 2 tier and Rs 3,000 for First AC. 

The 13-hour service will have key stops at the Ambala Cantonment Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawi, Banihal and Katra. The train is also expected to double the region's tourism potential, as the service has facilities even for differently-abled passengers, the KAVACH security system, security cameras, and more, as well as features that would make travel a comfortable tourist experience. Some of the special features are:
1) Warm air supply, silicon heating pads in water tanks and bio toilet tanks
2) Heating system on windows
3) Heaters inside washrooms
4) Heated filament to get rid of frosting accumulating on the glass
5) Triple-layer windshields on drivers' cabins.
