The trial run of the much-awaited Kashmir-special Vande Bharat, from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) to Srinagar, was successfully conducted today. A video of the train passing through the Chenab Bridge, which is the world's highest railway bridge, during the trial has been going viral on social media. The train route also includes the Anji Khad Bridge, India's first cable-stayed railway bridge. Unlike other Vande Bharat trains, the train has special features to withstand the harsh climate of Kashmir Valley. This is the first train to serve the Kashmir Valley and the third, introduced for Jammu and Kashmir. 

The train is expected to depart SVDK at 8.10 am and reach Srinagar at 11.20 am. It will depart Srinagar at 12.45 pm and arrive at SDVK at 3.55 pm. The eight-bogey train runs at 160 kmph speed. The Integral Coach Factory of Chennai manufactured it. The train is expected to be inaugurated next month by PM by next month.
