Various airports have temporarily shut down operations and airlines have cancelled flights following India's Operation Sindoor military operation on the morning of May 7. India and Pakistan have also implemented airspace restrictions, which will affect various services. Here's what you need to do:
Closed airports: Jammu, Leh, Srinagar (J&K), Dharamshala(Himachal Pradesh), Amritsar,  Chandigarh(Punjab), Bikaner, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Hindon (Delhi NCR) Rajkot, Jamnagar, Kandla, Bhuj (Gujarat). 

Airline actions:
Air India
1) All flights cancelled to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot till 12 noon.
2) Two international flights en route to Amritsar diverted to Delhi

Indigo
1)All flights to and from Jodhpur, Bikaner, Dharamshala, Chandigarh, Leh, Amritsar, Jammu and Srinagar cancelled for the day.
2) Changes in flight schedules are anticipated across the network.

Air India Express
1) Flights from and to Amritsar, Jammu, Hindon and Srinagar impacted including cancellations till midday today.
Spicejet
1) Affected passengers can opt for full refund or alternate flight via helpline +91(0) 124 4983410/+91(0)124710 1600
Akasa Air
1) Flights to and from Srinagar cancelled

Pakistan airspace closure and shutdowns
All major airports of the country have reportedly been shut down for 48 hours in response to Operation Sindoor. Airspace has also been closed, impacting domestic and international flights. 
International rerouting of flights
'Travelandtourworld' reports that Lufthansa, Emirates, British Airways, Air France, Oman and Etihad Airways have rerouted their flights to circumvent affected regions and avoid Pakistani airspace. 

What passengers need to know:
1) Monitor airline updates regularly to have an idea of rescheduling or cancellations
2) Avoid non-essential travel to high-risk areas
3) Longer routes can mean higher ticket prices
