The legendary Ooty Flower Show, which welcomes anthophiles from across the country and beyond to the hill station, has started. Visitors have been flocking to the garden to enjoy the annual flower show. The grand floral installations are the highlights of the show. The model of Rajaraja Cholan’s royal palace, made using two lakh carnations and marigold flowers, has been drawing attention. The 75-foot-wide and 25-foot-high installation is truly a scintillating artistic creation.

Meanwhile, the eight-foot-high crane installation made using 50400 flowers as well as the floral models of an elephant, swing, royal seat, selfie spot and a waterfall, are some of the attractions this year. Besides the existing flower pots at the garden, 30,000 new flower shrubs too have been arranged. The garden is decorated beautifully to celebrate the annual event.

The hill town's Thodar, Kothar, Badukar, and Tibetan communities performed their traditional art forms at the inaugural event. Visitors can also explore the stalls of various departments, including horticulture, agriculture, forest, tourism and tribal. The flower show is open until May 25.
