KSRTC has launched special services to make interstate travel comfortable and easy during the Onam season. Two buses from the Kottayam depot will run services to Bengaluru via Palakkad, Coimbatore, and Salem, while one bus has been scheduled from Pala to Bengaluru via Kozhikode, Kalpetta, Mananthavady, and Mysuru.

The service from Pala and one special from Kottayam have already started. Meanwhile, there will be one more Pala–Bengaluru special service on September 7. Tickets for all special services could be booked online through the KSRTC website.

Brand new fast passenger buses
Fast passenger service from Pala to Mysuru will commence on Monday. This service will continue until the Onam season ends. The bus starts from Pala at 5.30 pm; the return service is at 7.30 pm from Mysuru. This bus will cover the Thodupuzha, Muvattupuzha, Perumbavoor, Angamaly, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kalpetta, Sulthan Bathery and Gundelpet.

Two buses for the district
Kottayam district has been allotted only two buses from the new batch of buses purchased by the KSRTC, in the first phase. Meanwhile, both buses have been allotted to the Pala depot. New fast passenger buses are likely to be allotted to Kottayam and Changanassery depots in the next phase.
