Karukachal: KSRTC has launched a link bus to the scenic mountains of Bison Valley. The corporation has replaced the old buses that operated short-distance services with Fast Passenger link buses to offer a better travelling experience for the passengers. Kottayam depot got one link bus, which runs on the Kottayam – Bison Valley route, in the first phase.

Meanwhile, the depot is likely to get one more bus in the next phase. The daily service starts from Kottayam at 10.25 am. It stops at Medical College, Ettumanoor, Marangattupally, Uzhavoor, Veliyannoor, Koothattukulam, Muvattupuzha, Kothamangalam, Neriamangalam, Adimali, Kunjithanni and Bison Valley before reaching Muttukad by 4 pm.

There will be a cut trip to Adimali from here to Adimali at 4.30 pm. The return trip starts at 3.40 am from Adimali and reaches Kottayam by 9 am. The 38-seater bus, whose body is built by the famous Prakash SM Kannappa Automobile Company, has two rows of seats. The bus that belongs to the BS 6 category boasts modern safety features and offers a comfortable travelling experience.
