Palakkad: KSRTC is set to launch a super deluxe bus service from Palakkad to the famous Kukke Subramanya Temple. The temple known for sarpa aradhana (serpent worship) is surrounded by beautiful hillocks. Besides, the Kumaradhara River is also quite renowned. The service from Palakkad has been scheduled to reach Kasaragod and then to Kukke via Cherkala, Panjikkal and Sullya. Passengers could also use this service to travel to various places in northern Kerala. Hundreds of people from Kerala often travel to Sullya and nearby areas for trade and agriculture. Currently, limited stop services are only available to the Kukke region, which is 100 kilometres from Kasargod. However, buses are scarce in these areas after sunset.

Bus timings
The super deluxe bus starts from Palakkad at 7 pm and reaches Kukke by 5 am. Meanwhile, the return trip is at 7.45 pm and reaches Palakkad at 5.40 am. The authorities stated that Dewaswom’s guest house and other private accommodations are available in Kukke for pilgrims. KSRTC’s Palakkad – Kukke service will start shortly.

More buses to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka
Following the roaring success of the Palakkad – Kollur Mookambika service, which generates a daily average income of at least Rs 50,000, the Palakkad depot has been planning to launch additional bus services to various towns in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Kasaragod – Coimbatore. Palakkad – Kanyakumari and Palakkad – Mysuru services also earn good collections. Additionally, a new service will be launched in Gudallur, where many people from the district work in the plantation and hotel sectors. Meanwhile, Virajapeta, which is a commercial centre, is another possible destination. New bus services would be launched from Palakkad to Munnar and Mananthavady. The depot hopes to earn good profits from the Mookambika service during the Navaratri season.

Mookambika service timings
The bus that starts at 8 pm from Palakkad reaches the Mookambika temple at 6.15 the next morning. The return trip is at 7.45 pm and reaches Palakkad by 6 am.
Timings
The bus starts from Palakkad at 4 pm and reaches Guruvayoor by 7 pm. The return trip is at 7.30 pm and reaches Palakkad at 10.30 pm. The other trip stats from Palakkad 11.30 pm and reaches Guruvayoor at 2.40 am. The service from Guruvayoor is at 6.50 am and reaches Palakkad via the Civil Station by 9.50 am.
